The debate over the "preservation" and "abandonment" of intelligent ships

Sino-US trade dispute impacts new shipbuilding market
The reduction in new ship orders and the continuous decline in new ship prices have brought a serious impact on the global shipping market due to the prolonged US-China trade dispute. Shipping will continue to be hampered by overcapacity
As 2009 draws to a close, most shipping professionals are hoping for a better year ahead. However, the industry may well remain mired in a crisis of its own making: over-ordering of ships. Those placing orders seem to have completely disregarded whether the market actually needs so many vessels. World trade is the lifeblood of shipping, with 90% of trade volume transported by sea. Since the end of World War II, world trade has grown steadily, averaging 3-4% annual growth, with only the 1970s and 1980s showing slightly lower growth rates.
